Lenovo Z5s was expected to launch yesterday, but the company has instead ended up offering another teaser for the smartphone. This time around, the teaser confirms that the Z5s will be made official on December 18.
In a Weibo post, Lenovo Group VP Chang Cheng shared a new poster for the upcoming smartphone, confirming that the Z5s will be unveiled on December 18. The Lenovo Mobile account has shared an image on Weibo that is meant to showcase its gradient design, and triple rear camera setup. Oppo, Samsung and Huawei have smartphones with triple rear camera system and with Z5s, Lenovo will join them as well.
The Lenovo Z5s will be launched at company’s global headquarters in China on December 18. The renders posted by the company show that the vertically stacked triple-camera setup will look similar to that of Huawei P20 Pro. There is a dual-camera setup arranged in a single assembly while the third camera is set a small distance from them. The LED flash component is placed little further, and it draws a lot of character from Huawei’s design.
At this moment, there is no information on the triple-camera setup that will be available on the Lenovo Z5s. While the Z5s will be Lenovo’s first smartphone with triple-camera setup on the back, the front is likely to be interesting as well.
The Lenovo Z5s, like the Samsung Galaxy A8s and the Huawei Nova 4, is expected to sport an in-screen camera at the front. This will allow for a smartphone design without a notch and offer an edge-to-edge display design. The in-screen camera drilled into the display is expected to be placed at the upper portion of the display.
