A new selfie-centric Lenovo smartphone has stopped by TENAA for certification. In total the listed device with the model number L38031 packs four cameras, in which the front gets dual-camera setup as well. The same L38031 codenamed device was earlier spotted on the Geekbench about a month ago.
According to the listing, the Lenovo L38031 features a a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display. The processor is unspecified, but it will be an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. The speculation is MediaTek Helio P22 SoC.
The TENAA website also notes Lenovo L38031 will come in three RAM variants of 2GB, 3GB and 4GB. The storage variants are also three – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It will also have microSD expandability up to additional 128GB. It is listed to run Android 8.1 Oreo OS out-of-the-box.
As for the cameras, while it is clear that the phone will have four cameras in total, unfortunately the listing only mentions the resolution of one camera, which will be 13-megapixel. But what can be seen from the listing images, there is a dual-front camera and a horizontally aligned dual rear camera setup. The fingerprint sensor is also present at the back.
Connectivity options on Lenovo L38031 will include dual-SIM support, Micro-USB, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. GPS and FM radio. The handset will measure 153.8×72.9×7.95mm, and weigh 149 grams. It is listed to come in four color options – black, blue, silver, and gold. Lastly, the battery capacity is listed as 2,970mAh.
While this L38031 from Lenovo seems like a budget offering, there is another device from Lenovo in rumors with Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 855. Industry leaders such as Samsung, Sony, LG, Huawei, Google would be the usual suspects to land the Snapdragon 855, but on Monday Lenovo’s VP Chang Cheng threw a surprise.

In a recent Weibo post, Cheng claimed that Lenovo will be the first smartphone manufacturer to launch a 5G smartphone. He further stated that the device will also be running the new Snapdragon 855 SoC under the hood.
