As the name suggests, the LG Band Play is aimed at music aficionados, and boasts a bass-reinforced 1-watt speaker. Additionally, the company has also bundled a pair of LG QuadBeat 3 earphones, which were launched alongside the flagship LG G4. As far as specifications are concerned, the LG Band Play sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash and laser auto focus, 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera up front, and a removable 2,300mAh battery. Connectivity options include LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
As mentioned above, the smartphone has been launched in South Korea. LG hasn’t revealed if or when it plans to launch the Band Play in other countries.
