LG has released an official teaser video for the G2 smartphone, which is slated to be launched on August 7 in New York. The video is themed around humans, and ends with a caption saying, “Everything about you inspires me. To me, you are perfect.” However, the noticeable part is that the phone shown in the video has two keys placed at the rear of the phone. This appears to be the volume rocker buttons, which were leaked in photos earlier. Also Read - CES 2015 Live: Asus teases 'optical zoom' feature on forthcoming Zenfones
The company has not revealed any specific details about the specifications of the phone in the video, other than showing the unusual placement of the volume rocker key. Besides, there also is a possibility for the phone to feature a fingerprint scanner.
A couple of days back LG cleared that it will shed Optimus from its G series, and will name the next model without the Optimus tag. So far, a number of rumors as well as photo and specification leaks have suggested that the G2 will come with a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. It will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. Besides this, it will carry a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. The smartphone is also rumored to feature a 2,540mAh battery.
Though we expect more of information leaks ahead of the official launch, but these can only be assured once the phone gets unveiled in a fortnight.
