Ever since LG launched the G4 earlier this year, there have been talks about plans to introduce another variant of the flagship. Earlier this year, we came across leaked images of LG G4 Note and the latest report surfacing on the Internet further strengthens the odds of LG gearing up with a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 competitor.
A new trademark filing and the logo has been discovered on USPTO, which seems to be the LG G4 Note that we’ve been hearing for quite some time now. It’s expected to be a phablet with some type of stylus, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note series.
Last year, along with the LG G3 the company had also launched the LG G3 Stylus, but it was a mid-range smartphone. This year, along with the G4, LG has also introduced the affordable variant called the G4 Stylus. With LG G4 Note, it seems like the phablet could be targeted at the high-end segment.
Currently, there is no concrete information on what sort of hardware the LG G4 Note would boast. While some earlier reports suggest that the specifications will almost be the same as the LG G4, there are other conflicting reports that point that the G4 Note variant could be slightly powerful.
LG hasn’t officially confirmed anything about the G4 Note variant, so take this with a proverbial pinch of salt. With IFA 2015 taking place this week, expecting the device to show up at the event would be a long shot, but we do expect to hear more about the device in the coming months.
