As MWC 2016 kicked off today in Barcelona, smartphone makers are all set to showcase their flagship smartphones. LG has already announced the Stylus 2, X Cam and the X Screen smartphones ahead of MWC, and today, it will take wraps off one of the highly-anticipated smartphones, the G5. In the run-up to the event, LG has already teased some crucial features of the smartphone, such as the always-on display and a new Quick Cover. According to recent leaks, the G5 is likely to boast a semi-modular design with a removable 2,800mAh battery. It is also expected to come with a magic slot for attaching other hardware accessories.
LG G5 specifications and features: It could flaunt a 5.3-inch QHD display (2560x1440pixels) with Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4GB of RAM going under the hood. With 32GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot for further expansion could also be expected.
From one of the earlier leak, we have also learned that the G5 will boast a dual-camera setup at the back, an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera and a fingerprint scanner located just below the rear camera module. With connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11ad, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS, the smartphone is likely to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
