LG is celebrating its two decades of establishment in the country. To celebrate its 20th Anniversary in India, the company has announced a Rs 10,000 discount on its latest flagship smartphone, the LG G6. Launched for Rs 55,000, the discount brings the LG G6’s price in India down to Rs 45,000. But the question is, should you care about the discount? Despite the discount, the LG G6’s official price is more than what is on offer by e-commerce sites. For example, the flagship smartphone is listed on Amazon India with a price tag of Rs 41,900. Besides the lower price tag, Amazon India is also offering a couple of deals to buyers. These include 100GB of 4G data from Reliance Jio, and Tone Active+ HBS A100 Bluetooth headset. LG G6 was launched earlier this year, and it is successor to the LG G5. The flagship smartphone boasts a FullVision Display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and comes with support for Dolby Vision and HDR 10. It has IP68 certification against water and dust resistance. LG G6 features, specifications
The LG G6 has a 5.7-inch QHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the top for protection. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 821 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and has 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. It houses a 3,300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support, and has fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear panel.
In terms of optics, the LG G6 features a dual-rear camera setup which includes a pair of 13-megapixel camera sensors with PDAF, LED flash and OIS. The smartphone also has a 5-megapixel selfie snapper on the front with screen flash. The rear camera also supports 4K video recording with EIS and slow motion recording at 120 frames per second.
On the software front, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Google Assistant on board. For connectivity, the LG G6 has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/AGPS, NFC. USB Type-C and 3.5 mm audio jack.
