Interestingly, the two smartphones were said to be unveiled at this year’s MWC expo in February. It’s not known why LG waited out for a few months for the other two variants or could have simply launched the smartphone with different storage variants, as is the trend nowadays. At the moment, the LG G6+ and LG G6 32GB models are available only for the Korean market. It has not yet revealed when the two variants will hit the global market. Also, there’s no word on the pricing at the moment. Also Read - LG Gram 2021 series with 11th-gen Intel Core CPUs launched in India: Price, specifications
The original LG G6, which comes with 64GB onboard storage, is officially priced at Rs 51,990 in India. However, there was a recent price cut with the smartphone being available for Rs 38,990, after a flat discount of Rs 13,000. Clearly, the lower storage variant would be cheaper than the LG G6 whereas the LG G6+ will be little more expensive.
Besides the difference in storage, the new variants are expected to be available in new color choices. According to GizmoChina, the G6+ will be available in Optical Terra Gold, Optical Marine Blue, and Optical Astro Black versions. The G6 32GB model will come with non-optical Terra Gold and non-optical Marine Blue color choices. The smartphone will also be available in Mystic White color option, which is also available for the LG G6. That being said, rest of the specifications and features remain same as the LG G6.
