In August, LG had launched the LG G7 One smartphone alongside the LG G7 Fit smartphone. It is the first Android One smartphone from the company. While various smartphone manufactures have started rolling out Android 9 Pie OS update for their smartphones, LG is yet to confirm on a timeline for its device. However, fresh information reveals that the LG G7 One users are now receiving the Android 9 Pie update.

A LG G7 One user from Canada has revealed on XDA-Developer forums that Android 9 Pie update has been released for the smartphone. The user has revealed that the size of the update is 812MB. It tags along November’s month security patch, and improvements for the camera. Even though it is packed with upper mid-range specs compared to LG’s flagship phone such as LG G7 ThinQ and LG V40 ThinQ, the handset has been treated with Android 9 Pie update mainly because it is an Android One device.

LG is yet to official confirm the arrival of the Android 9 Pie update for the LG G7 One. The South Korean company has made the kernel source code for Pie update on its website. Being an Android One device, the LG G7 One will be not only treated with faster software updates, but also it will be blessed with regular monthly security patches.
