LG is expected to unveil its next flagship smartphone, G7 ThinQ, in the coming week. Ahead of the launch, the number of leaks are surging like never before. The LG G7 ThinQ is expected to come packed with AI-enabled features, which will help improve its camera capabilities and allow users to get more done from the device. In the latest series of leaks, serial tipster Evan Blass has released the press renders of the upcoming smartphone, giving out every design detail that may have been left out in past leaks. Shared via Twitter, the press renders show the LG G7 ThinQ from all the angles. What is confirmed is the presence of the notch on the top along with the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. The renders show a silver/grey variant, but we can expect more colors to show up when the phone is officially launched. Based on these renders, the LG G7 ThinQ will feature a dedicated fingerprint sensor at the back. However, given the current industry trend of injecting Face Unlock feature, we can expect the smartphone to bring in the new-age facial recognition-based authentication system as well. The LG G7 ThinQ will also pack a dual-camera setup, as also confirmed by these renders. The module will be placed vertically in the center, accompanied by the LED flash. If you look closely, there appears to be a new key on the device, which is in addition to the standard volume rockers and power buttons. If rumors are anything to go by, this could be the dedicated Google Assistant trigger key. In terms of design, the renders appear to suggest a mix of metal and glass with slight curves on the edges for better grip.
LG G7 ThinQ rumored specifications
If we go by past leaks, the LG G7 ThinQ is likely to feature a 6.01-inch Quad HD+ OLED display. A cheaper LCD variant is also expected. It will be powered by the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM.
For optics, it is expected to pack a pair of 16-megapixel cameras at the back. Up front, there will be an 8-megapixel sensor. Fueling the smartphone will be a 3,300mAh battery with support for wireless charging, and high-fidelity DAC.
