LG is all set to unveil its new flagship smartphone, the G5 on February 21 at the MWC 2016. Now, a new smartphone with model number H840 has been spotted on the benchmarking site GFXBench. The smartphone is believed to be the Lite variant of the G5. The benchmark listing also reveals hardware details of the smartphone, G5 Lite.
LG H840 specifications and features: Sporting a 5.3-inch QHD display running at 2560x1440pixels, the benchmark listing reveals that it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8GHz. Paired with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU, it also features 32GB of onboard storage, out of which 23GB is user accessible. However, there is no word on external microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the smartphone features an 8-megapixel front and rear camera. According to reports, the main 8-megapixel camera may come with better imaging capabilities or better sensors.
With connectivity options such as Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 and NFC, the listing shows that the smartphone runs on dated Android 4.4 KitKat OS. We speculate the smartphone to run Android Lollipop when officially launched and be upgradable to Marshmallow.
With less than a week to go for MWC 2016 event, we will have to wait and see what LG has in store for its customers.
