LG Mobile is offering discounts and exchange on its smartphones in India. As part of the LG Mobile Days promotion on Amazon India, the South Korean electronics major is offering up to 50 percent off on its mobile devices. LG is offering discounts and exchange benefits on its flagship V30+ and G6 smartphones in addition to discounts on the mid-range Q6 and Q6+ smartphones.
The move seems to be directed by discounts from other smartphone brands especially in the online retail segment. The smartphone market has become highly competitive with most smartphone brands struggling to retain their market share. According to analysts, LG has less than 1 percent market share globally and has conceded its market position to Chinese smartphone brands such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Lenovo. The company is also believed to be struggling in its home market due to better products from rival Samsung.
LG saw good traction for its mid-range Q6 and Q6+ smartphones last year but its premium smartphones such as the V30+ and G6 were overshadowed by devices from brands like OnePlus and Xiaomi. With the LG Mobile Days, the company might manage to move some units of its product lineup as it prepares to launch next-generation flagship sometime next month. Here is a look at top offers from Amazon India and LG:
LG V30+ Offer
On LG V30+, Amazon India is offering extra Rs 2,000 off on exchange and the LG tone headset for free when the customer purchases the smartphone from the seller Appario India Pvt Ltd. The smartphone now comes with a no-cost EMI option on all major credit cards, which is one of the easiest ways to buy premium devices in India.
LG V30+ is the flagship smartphone in LG’s stable and it was launched in December last year at a retail price of Rs 44,990. The offer from Amazon India is applicable only on the black color variant. In terms of specifications, the LG V30+ features a 6-inch OLED Full Vision display with Quad HD+ resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and the taller aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The LG V30+ features dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel primary camera offering f/1.6 aperture and a secondary 13-megapixel camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens. There is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens and support for 1080p video recording. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with LG UX and is backed by a 3,300mAh battery.
LG G6 Offer
LG G6 was arguably the most understated smartphone of 2017. The smartphone was the first from LG to adopt new thin bezel design and sport a Full Vision display. The smartphone was launched at Rs 55,000 but it is now available for Rs 28,990. As part of LG Mobile Days, Amazon India is offering extra Rs 1,000 off on exchange if the customers buys the device from the seller Appario India Pvt Ltd. There is also an option to avail no-cost EMI option on all major credit cards.
To recall, the LG G6 features a 5.7-inch FullVision LCD display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which can be further expanded to up to a theoretical 2TB via the SD card slot. The smartphone was a letdown since it uses the dated Snapdragon 821 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 835 found on other flagship devices in the price range. On the camera front, it gets dual 13-megapixel sensors with primary wide-angle lens supporting f/1.8 aperture and secondary wide-angle lens supporting f/2.4 aperture. It gets the same 5-megapixel selfie camera also found on V30+.
The offer is applicable only on the ice platinum version of LG G6 and it runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The smartphone is backed by a 3,300mAh battery and comes with 1 year warranty.

LG is also offering discounts on its mid-range Q6 and Q6+ smartphones. As part of LG Mobile Days, the Q6 is now available at a starting price of Rs 11,490, which is a discount of Rs 5,500 over its previous retail price. On the hardware front, it sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.
It features a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The LG Q6 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. Those planning to buy the LG Q6 can avail no-cost EMI option at the time of checkout.
LG Q6+ which is basically a Q6 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, is now available at Rs 16,471. There is not much change in terms of price but it now comes with no-cost EMI option. It is available in black and platinum color option.
