LG announced its Q6 smartphone in July and now the company has more information to share on the availability of the smartphone. The LG Q6 was launched alongside the LG Q6+ and LG Q6a and boasts the proprietary FullVision Display as one of its key features. The smartphone will be available starting this week in home market Korea, followed by other markets in Asia, Europe, Middle East and the Americas in the weeks to come. The LG Q6, aka G6 Mini, is said to be the first model in the company’s new Q series and borrows some elements from the flagship G6. The LG Q6 is available in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Mystic White and Terra Gold color choices and is priced at 419,100 Korean Won (approximately Rs 24,000) and will be available in Korea from August 2, FoneArena reports. USP of the smartphone is its 5.5-inch 18:9 FHD+ FullVision Display (2160 x 1080) with 442ppi. The display facilitates multi-tasking by allowing the user to split the screen into two square windows which can be viewed either vertically or horizontally. Other than the LG G6-inspired display technology, the Q6 also boasts its design language as one of its highlights. The smartphone is crafted out of 7000 series aluminum with rounded corners for more durability. Under the hood, the LG Q6 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
On the photography front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front camera. It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery. While there is no word on the pricing or availability details of the LG Q6+ and LG Q6a, these smartphones are variants of the LG Q6 and differ in terms of storage and RAM. The LG Q6+ includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the LG Q6a has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
