Whether LG actually asked people for their opinion on the notch design is still unconfirmed, but what the latest reports do claim is that the company might be looking at introducing not only its next flagship G7, but also introduce the Q7 at the same event. At the Mobile World Congress (MWC), LG introduced the Q7 and V35 ThinQ models. It was also reported that the company possibly also teased the G7 through a prototype model at the event. Now, according to trademark details leaked from the Korean Intellectual Property Office, LG has already trademarked the Q7 moniker, hinting at an imminent launch. The LG Q7 will add to the Q series which includes the LG Q6 and Q8. The series made its debut last year and is mid-range in terms of pricing. Details on the LG Q7 specifications are scarce at the moment, however, as a report on LetsGoDigital claims, the smartphone could be equipped with the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. It is likely to be a compact smartphone with improved camera capabilities, including a possible incorporation of a dual-camera setup.
As LG is yet to officially announce anything, it is advisable to take the information with a grain of salt. The company may or may not actually choose to introduce a mid-ranger and a flagship smartphone together.
LG G7 specifications
Talking about the LG G7, the flagship smartphone is long rumored to feature a notch display, similar to the Apple iPhone X. However, recent reports indicate that the company will add a smarter feature which would allow users to choose between displaying the notch or hiding it. In this case, it will be essentially a software feature allowing you to turn the area around the notch turn dark when you want a full view display and turn it back on when you need it.

The LG G7 is expected sometime in May with a bump in price.
