The LG Q8 is now available for purchase in South Korea. The smartphone was quietly unveiled in July, and it has gone on sale for the first time. Touted as an affordable version of the LG V20, the LG Q8 sports a similar look and retains the secondary display and dual-camera setup. The smartphone is priced at KRW 616,000 (approximately Rs 35,100), and comes in two color options of Urban Titan and Sweet Pink.
In terms of design, the LG Q8 flaunts a metal body with a secondary display (160×1040 pixels) placed next to the front camera. The secondary display is always on and shows basic information like time, battery status, and notifications. Like the V20, the LG Q8 also features a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC that is said to reduce noise by up to 50 percent.
On launching the LG Q8 in South Korea, Lee Sang-gyu, MD of Korea Mobile Group at LG said, “We will continue to show a variety of Q series with key features of premium products at reasonable prices.”
