Back in January LG took the wrap off its new ‘K series’ smartphones at CES 2016. The company had announced two smartphones- the K10 and K7, which were said to be the successor to the popular L series. Now LG is all set to launch the K series smartphones in India on April 14. LG has also sent out media invites for the same. The invite doesn’t reveal which of the smartphones from its K series will be launching in India, but confirms the launch of two 4G LTE enable smartphones. LG has so far launched four smartphones in its K series- K5, K7, K8 and K10.
The image in the invite clearly shows a glossy pebble design with curved finish and 2.5D arc glass. The smartphones also has a intricate woven pattern at the back of it which makes it look similar to the LG K10 smartphone. The K-series smartphones is also said to come with power and volume buttons placed at the back, just below the camera module.
LG K8 specification and feature: It has a 5-inch HD display, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor along with 1.5GB/1GB of RAM variants The smartphone has 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB 2.0. It is powered by a 2,125 mAh battery.
LG K10 specifications and features: The LG K10 features a 5.3-inch HD (720p) display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core or 1.14GHz octa-core or 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB or 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM respectively. The K10 will be available in 8GB and 16GB storage variants.The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel front and back camera and 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel front and back camera for 3G variant. It has a 2,300mAh battery, with options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
LG K7 specifications and features: It houses a 5-inch FWVGA display. It is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core processor (LTE variant) with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage, and 1.3GHz quad-core processor (3G variant) coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. It comes with 8-megapixel main camera (LTE variant) / 5-megapixel main camera (3G variant) and 5-megapixel front facing unit with LED flash. It features a 2,125mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
