The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is slated to be held from January 5 to January 8, and will see a host of new smartphones launching. LG is rumored to launch at least six smartphones at the CES 2017, but none of the smartphones are said to be in the high-end category. Among the six rumored smartphones, four of them have been certified by the FCC and belong to the LG K-series smartphones. These include the K3 2017, K4 2017, K8 2017 and the K10 2017. The other two smartphones expected to join are the LG X Calibur and the LG Stylus 3, which will launch as the Stylo 3 plus in the US. Ahead of the official announcement, a few specifications of the upcoming four K-series 2017 smartphones have been revealed. The LG K3 2017, which is essentially the successor to the original K3, is said to feature a 4.5-inch display. For photography, the smartphone is said to sport a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The LG K3 2017 smartphone is expected to be powered by a 2,100mAh battery.
The second smartphone in line is the LG K4 2017 is said to feature a 4.7-inch display and will possibly be powered by a 2,500mAh battery. The camera specs include an 8-megapixel camera on the rear end and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The LG K8 2017 is expected to feature a 5-inch HD display with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is expected to use a 2,500mAh battery for power. Lastly, the highest variant of the series, the LG K10 2017 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch HD display with a 2.5D glass both on the front and the back as well. In the photography department, the LG K10 2017 is expected to sport a 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera. The details of the rear camera have not been mentioned. The LG X Calibur smartphone is rumored to come with IP68 water and dust resistance and durability of military-standard. Other than that, the smartphone is said to be powered by a massive 4,100mAh battery. The final smartphone in line is the LG Stylus 3, which is said to launch in the US as the Stylo 3 plus and will possibly feature a 5.7-inch full HD display. In the photography department, the LG Stylus 3 is expected to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Both the cameras are said to come with LED flash. The smartphone is said to feature a fingerprint scanner, rear-mounted buttons and will likely be powered by a 3,200mAh battery.
In other news, LG is also rumored to unveil the X Power 2 at the Mobile World Congress in February, 2017. The X Power 2 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full HD display. For photography, the smartphone could sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie snapper. The smartphone is expected to use a 4,500mAh battery.
As for the availability of the smartphones, the K-series 2017 smartphones are said to go on sale by mid-January. The LG Stylus will hit the stores by mid-February, followed by the LG X Calibur in mid-March and lastly the LG X Power 2 by the end of April.
