LG plans on launching its flagship G4 on April 28. In the run up to the event, the company has now announced the LG UX 4.0, the interface that will appear on the flagship. According to the company, the UI is not only more human centric, but also brings in a lot of customization options.In terms of the design, the UI looks quite similar to the interface released at the launch of the LG G3. The company however claims that this time around they are focusing more on the features. Speaking of which, these include the likes of Smart Alert, Smart Board, and camera-centric apps like Quick Shot and Expert Camera mode among others. Smart Alert is a feature, which apart from informing you about weather changes, also suggests the users what they can do on the sunny day based on the user’s daily routine. Smart Board is an intuitive hub of information which aggregates your information from various applications like calendars, music and health, into a single screen. Quick Shot feature is something akin to the Motorola’s Twist to Shoot, the feature allows users to take pictures instantaneously even when the phone is locked by pressing down the volume key in two quick successions. Camera mode, on the other hand, comes with an Expert mode that will be appreciated by the shutterbugs who won’t mind going an extra mile to take the perfect shot.
As mentioned above, LG is expected to launch the G4 at its launch event on April 28. From what we have heard so far, the flagship is expected to flaunt a 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The flagship smartphone is also expected to feature 32GB internal storage, 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and on the software front, run on Android Lollipop 5.1.
