Back in September this year LG launched its first smartphone that runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. Called the V20, the smartphone was launched only in few selected markets and the company promised that they will release the smartphone in other markets very soon. As reported by Phonearena, the LG V20 S will be a smaller version of the V20. While there are not much details available about the V20 S, but it is said that the device will mostly have same features as the V20 but with a few tweaks. Reports suggest that the LG V20 S has been already launched in Japan as the LG V34 (LG isai Beat). The LG isai Beat aka LG V34 looks very much similar to the LG V20. The notable difference between the two is the display size. While the LG V20 comes with a bigger 5.7-inch display, the LG V34 comes with a smaller 5.2-inch display. Also, it has 32GB of onboard storage instead of V20’s 64GB. According to reports,the V20 S too could come with 5.2-inch display, 32GB onboard storage, and water resistance. LG isai Beat/ LG V34 specifications
The smartphone features a 5.2-inch Quad HD display along with a secondary screen as seen on the V20. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.2GHz paired with an Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
On the photography front, the smartphone will comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It is armed with a 3,000mAh battery inside. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with LG UI on top.
LG V20 specifications
To recap, the LG V20 smartphone features a 5.7-inch Quad HD IPS display with a secondary display. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.15GHz. It is paired with 4GB of RAM, and comes with onboard storage of 64GB.
On the camera front, it sports dual rear cameras featuring a 16-megapixel snapper with f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel camera. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture. The LG V20 also comes with Qualcomm’s Steady Record 2.0 which features electronic image stabilization (EIS) 3.0 to record sharper videos and neutralize shaky images. Along with the dual-camera setup at the back, the V20 boasts Hybrid Auto-Focus which puts Laser Detection AF, Phase Detection AF and Contrast AF, for both photos and videos. The smartphone is backed by a 3,200mAh removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0. Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C support, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
Additionally, the LG V20 has a replaceable battery like its predecessor, the V10. It comes with a customized button to easily remove the back cover. The button is placed on the right side of the smartphone. Talking about the design, the V20 comes with a lightweight aluminium body along with a fingerprint sensor placed on the back below the camera lens.
