Even as the launch date for the LG V30 is inching closer, rumors and leaks are showing no signs of stopping. The company has already sent media invites for an event to be held on August 31, a day before IFA 2017 kick starts. Adding to the leaks, an allegedly sketch of the V30 has surfaced online, believed to have been picked up from the device’s user manual. Courtesy of OnLeaks, the image shows the presence of a dual-camera with LED flash placed next to it. Right below the camera, there is the fingerprint sensor. The volume rocker is placed on the left-hand side while the SIM card slot is placed on the right. LG V30 is the successor to LG V20, and one of the most significant changes is the absence of the secondary display.
Rumors suggest that LG could introduce a sliding secondary display with the V30. However, leakster Evan Blass later confirmed that the leaked image was of an old concept phone. Apart from this, the invite shared by LG for the V30 launch, suggests a device with extremely slim top and bottom bezels. In terms of specifications, the LG V30 is expected to to flaunt a 6-inch 18:9 ratio AMOLED display. Under the hood, there is likely to be a Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 1.9GHz. It will be paired with 4GB of RAM, while the internal memory of the phone is currently unknown. But if leaks are to be believed, there could be 64GB of onboard storage, which will be expandable up to 128GB. On the software front, the smartphone will come with Android Nougat 7.1.2 OS out-of-the-box, which will soon be upgradable to Android O. Additionally, the phone is also said to come with water and dirt resistance capabilities.
