Instagram now allows you to follow hashtag
Instagram has introduced a new feature that allows users to directly follow hashtags. This means, instead of always searching for a hashtag, you can now just follow it by tapping through an image or video that already uses the hashtag, users can track topics following a hashtag. Instagram said that it will use algorithms to surface the content that users have engaged with the most.
Apple iMac Pro launched
Apple today announced the iMac Pro will be available to order starting tomorrow. Apple’s all-in-one desktop will be available at prices starting at $4,999 in the United States, which is approximately Rs 322,200. The iMac Pro features a 27-inch Retina 5K display. Apple also includes a space gray Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Trackpad 2 in the box. Apple also announced that the 14 and 18-core iMac Pro won’t be available until later in 2018. Other features include a 1080p front camera, stereo speakers, four microphones, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2.
Xiaomi Mi A1 receives Android 8.0 Oreo beta update
As promised, Xiaomi has started rolling out Android Oreo beta testing for Mi A1 users via Mi Community India as well as MIUI Global Forum. The Oreo update is now available to some selected beta testers. The update is 1.1GB in size and also incorporates the security patch for the month of December. It is expected that the company will roll out the update for everybody in coming weeks. The smartphone currently runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat.
LG V30+ launch in India
LG launched the V30+ in India today. The smartphone is priced at Rs 44,990, and will go on sale starting December 18. The smartphone features a 6-inch 18:9 Quad HD+ OLED FullVision display. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4GB RAM along with 128GB internal storage. The V30+ runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat with UI-UX 6.0+ on top. In terms of optics, the LG V30+ features a dual camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel (f/1.6) primary lens and a 13-megapixel (f/1.9) 120-degree wide-angle lens. There is also a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support.
Apple’s India sales touch $1.8 billion
Apple has posted its slowest growth in India. Its been revealed that the company earned Rs 11,618.7 crore in revenue during the 2016-17 period ending March compared to Rs 9,937 crore earned the year before, which is a 17 percent growth. The data suggests that Apple’s growth in the country was impacted due to demonetization late last year.
