Xiaomi MIUI 10 feat

Xiaomi is known to be slow when it comes to rolling out software upgrades. Yes, there are monthly updates that bring security patches, and improvements to custom MIUI skin, not the ones that bring faster upgrades. But there is one thing that you can’t take away from Xiaomi – it is well known to update older smartphones with newer interface. Earlier this year, the 4-year old Redmi 1s was also updated to MIUI 9. Now, Xiaomi has released a complete list of smartphones that will get the MIUI 10 update.

According to an announcement on MIUI forums, spotted by GSMArena, a total of 28 smartphones will be updated to MIUI 10. And the list of devices also includes the 3-year old Mi 4c. There is one thing to note though, the Mi 4c will be updated to the new MIUI 10 custom skin, but it won’t get the latest Android Oreo OS. For instance, the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi 8 and others will run Android Oreo-based MIUI 10, whereas the Mi Max will run MIUI 10 based on Android Nougat.

Xiaomi is currently testing the global beta ROM and it will be completed by July 24. Recently launched smartphones such as the Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE are already a part of the list, and the Mi MIX 2 and Mi MIX 2s have received the beta ROM updates. The list does not include Redmi 6-series, but it already runs MIUI 10 out-of-the-box.

Other smartphones as a part of the list include Mi 5, Mi 6, Mi 6X, Mi MIX, Mi Note 2, Redmi Note 5, Redmi S2 (Y2), Redmi Note 4X, Redmi 5A, Redmi 5s, Redmi 5s Plus, Mi Note 3, Mi Max, Mi Max 2, Mi 5X, Mi Max Prime, Mi 5c, Mi 4s, Mi 4c, Redmi 4x and the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
