Logitech has made it easier for creative professionals to have better input tools without investing much. The company just launched the Craft keyboard, which functions pretty much like a regular keyboard, albeit with a creative input dial on the left to assist designers.

The Logitech Craft keyboard is like a Surface Dial, and the company has integrated the touch-based knob with seven apps, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and InDesign; and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. In creative software, you can simply tap on the knob to choose between colors, brush types, and font sizes among others. Other use cases include volume control, and forward or back on pages. At the moment, Office integrations are available only for Windows, while generic functions are available only for supported applications.

The creative input dial boasts seamless working, you can simply tap on the top of the dial, and it will show you contextual options. Once you select your option, like the brush type or font style, you can then rotate the dial to adjust it further.

Other than the dial, the Craft keyboard in itself is quite full of features. As The Verge notes, the chiclet-style keys have indented center for better guidance, and they are also backlit. Logitech has added a sort of motion-sensing technology to the keyboard, which makes the keys automatically light up when you put your hands near the keys. ALSO READ: Logitech launches new Slim Combo Protective Case With Pencil holder for the new Apple iPad Pro

Additionally, the Craft keyboard is powered by the same Flow technology as the MX series of mice where you can seamlessly switch between separate computers by just moving the mouse over. In the case of the keyboard, you can connect it with up to three devices, and switch between them at the press of a button.

The Craft keyboard is supported by both Mac and PC, with keys listing both options wherever applicable. You can connect it with your computer over Bluetooth, Logitech’s Unifying Receiver or a wired Type-C port.

In addition to the Craft keyboard, Logitech also introduced its new MX Sound speakers which add to its desktop collection. Both the Craft keyboard and MX Sound will be available in October, priced $199.99 (approximately Rs 12,800), and $99.99 (approximately Rs 6,400) respectively.
