On Polling Day, prepaid customers in Delhi NCR, Haryana, and Kerala are being given 50MB of data from 7AM to 7PM. This enables voters to go online and check about the candidates, before casting the vote. Airtel also says that users can encourage friends and family to vote, by posting pictures of their inked fingers. With the announcement, Airtel joins the league of companies, who have come forward to inspire people to vote. Facebook introduced “I’m a Voter” button, Google offers information about the candidates via its new portal, and Uber is also offering free rides to users on the polling day.
