WhatsApp announced support for Sticker packs about two weeks ago. According to a report by The Indian Express, Kerala Piravi sticker pack “became an instant hit” with a significant number of users downloading the app. The report went on to continue that a new app by the name “Malayalam WhatsApp Sticker” has gained following on social media. For context, according to the report, the app was submitted to Google on Play Store on October 31 and in about less than a week, it has been downloaded more than 43,000 times. This is despite the fact that the Stickers functionality is only limited to users running a beta version of WhatsApp.

It is unclear about how many people are likely to download the sticker app once the update is available for everyone. Talking about the app, it comes with “over 200 stickers” stickers and the developer indicated that an additional 300 new stickers are coming to the app soon.

The interesting thing to note here is that the app developer is planning to add stickers in other languages from the coming week. It is quite possible that some of the sticker pack apps are likely to overlap stickers as the number of sticker pack apps keeps on growing.
