The entire country is in a spirited mood as a huge technological achievement was witnessed today. ISRO successfully managed to insert Mangalyaan into the Mars orbit, creating history. Everyone from PM Narendra Modi, President Pranab Mukherjee to NASA is congratulating ISRO on the big accomplishment. Narendra Modi was present at ISRO to witness the spectacle and gave a speech, and mentioned how proud the entire country felt. He tweeted, Also Read - MS Dhoni invests in drone startup Garuda Aerospace, to be its brand ambassador


President Pranab Mukherjee was all praise too

APJ Abdul Kalam, a scientist himself has tweeted a congratulatory message.

NASA, which has just launched its own MAVEN mission to the Red Planet, also congratulated the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) for the feat.

Noting the “landmark occasion” for India, Vice President Hamid Ansari said he joins “the entire country in saluting them (scientists) on their success”. “I am confident that our scientists will continue to scale greater heights and win more laurels for the country in the field of space exploration,” Ansari said.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi said that the achievement would be a source for inspiration “for generations to come”. “India earns its admirable position in the world as one of the pioneering space exploring nations with Mangalyaan. It is a milestone in the journey that we as a nation envisaged after Independence,” said Gandhi. She added that it was the “courage, passion and imagination” of the team of space scientists and researchers led by ISRO Chairman Dr K Radhakrishnan which had made the mission a success.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan lauded ISRO for its efforts and said it was a proud moment for India as it has become the first Asian nation to enter the Mars Orbit.

BJP president Amit Shah reminisced all of the rich astronomical past of the nation.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also congratulated the Indian space community.

Rajnath Singh congratulated ISRO and the entire team.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also congratulated the entire Mars Mission team.

General Secretary of All India Congress Committee Digvijaya Singh took a dig at the PM while congratulating ISRO on its achievement.

Poltician Aditya Thackeray tweeted.
