Yahoo s chief executive Marissa Mayer has given birth to twin girls. She made the announcement via Twitter stating everyone in her family was doing well. On her blog, Mayor thanked her followers for extending support and well wishes during her pregnancy. The announcement comes shortly after Yahoo decided to go ahead with spinoff of its core Internet business instead and keeping the Alibaba stock in the old company. Yahoo s board said that the company was being undervalued, and one of the best solutions is to separate out the Alibaba proceeds from the operating business. For Mayer, it s not the first time she had to shuffle between such crucial professional and personal events. She was hired as the CEO of Yahoo when she was pregnant and took only a few weeks of leave after giving birth to her son in September 2012. Her decision to take such short break had sparked controversy with many criticizing her for setting wrong examples.
