Mark Zuckerberg: Facebook CEO and founder, Mark Zuckerberg was one of the firsts to join on the ‘Giving Pledge’ in 2010. Along with the news of welcoming a baby girl, Zuckerberg said he plans to give away 99 percent of his Facebook stock over the course of his life. The holding is currently worth more than $45 billion. Not many details were revealed by the couple but they wrote that they would share more information in the coming months. Last year in 2014, Mark and his wife even donated $25 million to help the US efforts to fight the Ebola epidemic.
Larry Ellison: Oracle ex-CEO Larry Ellison was one of the many billionaires listed among the most charitable CEOs in the country. In a statement he made while signing the Giving Pledge, he claimed to pledges 95 percent of his total assets to a special trust. He has given charity in funds like Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and The Ellison Medical Foundation. If reports are to be believed, most of Ellison’s donations has gone to the Ellison Medical Foundation, which was one of the largest supporters of research on aging and cancer. The Ellison Medical Foundation provided more than $300 million in funding for research on aging.
