Google is making some massive changes to its executive structure, and according to a Re/code report that surfaced online yesterday, India-born Sundar Pichai is the one to benefit the most. Pichai who heads Android, Chrome and Google Apps, will now oversee Search, Maps, Google+, ads, as well as commerce, research and infrastructure. Pichai Sundararajan was born in 1972 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and after getting his Bachelor of Technology at IIT Kharagpur, he moved to the US for his further studies. He did his MS at Stanford, and then received his MBA from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. His first job was at Applied Materials, where he worked as an engineer, and later he worked in management consulting at McKinsey & Company. Pichai began his career at Google by heading the teams behind Google s Chrome browser and operating system. Soon he would get the added responsibility of Google Toolbar, desktop search, among others.
