The upcoming 7nm Snapdragon 8150 SoC (previously referred to as Snapdragon 855) by Qualcomm is expected to power flagship phones from various smartphone manufacturers in 2019. Samsung’s Galaxy S10 series arriving in early 2019 could feature the first set of devices powered by the latest chipset.
Last week, a leakster from China claimed that Meizu could also be one of the first smartphone companies to launch a Snapdragon 8150 powered smartphone in the coming year. It is now speculated that the much-rumored Meizu 16s may launch in the early months of 2019 with Snapdragon 8150 onboard.
Today, a tipster from China has shared a render of the alleged Meizu 16s smartphone. The Meizu 16s is seen sporting a design that is identical to the Snapdragon 845 powered Meizu 16 smartphone that was introduced in August in China. The render of the smartphone reveals that it is equipped with a notch-less screen with a near 100 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The chin of the device is very thin which seems too good to be true. Hence, it appears that the render could be a fan-made design. The rear design of the phone resembles the Meizu 16. Instead of the dual camera setup on the Meizu 16, the Meizu 16s features a vertically mounted triple-camera setup. Below it is the fingerprint scanner. The edges of the back panel taper towards the rumored stainless steel frame of the phone.
