Meizu quietly added a new budget smartphone to their lineup called the Meizu M6. While the smartphone was launched in China six months back, the phone has only coming to India now, and will be selling through Amazon for a starting price of Rs 7,699.
The Meizu M6 will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 5 and the Honor 7A. However, the phone features a more traditional design and does not come with the taller display, like the other two phones. Meizu has kept things simple by giving it a 5.2-inch screen, wrapped around a polycarbonate body. The phone comes in two storage and RAM variants, and is available in four colors including, black, blue, silver and rose gold.
Meizu M6 specifications and features
The Meizu M6 comes with a smaller 5.2-inch HD display with a traditional aspect ratio of 16:9. It’s a little disappointing, as most of its competition has already adopted the taller 18:9 aspect ratio screen. On the inside, the Meizu M6 comes with an MediaTek MT6750 SoC, which features eight cores and comes with maximum clock speeds of 1.5GHz.
The Meizu phone comes in two storage and RAM configurations. The base variant features 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage, while the high-end model packs 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded to 128GB via a microSD card. For security, there is a fingerprint sensor at front.

In the optics department, the Meizu M6 boasts a single 13-megapixel sensor at the back, which features an aperture of f/2.2. At the front it packs an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Like the rear camera it is also equipped with LED flash for taking good pictures in low-light situations. Fueling the internals is 3,070mAh battery. The phone runs on an outdated Android 7.0 Nougat, layered with Flyme UI 6.0 on top.
