It is no secret that Meizu has been working on the successor to the m5 Note. The Meizu M6 Note has now been spotted online. The smartphone has been spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench, which reveals a few of its key specifications and features. We have been hearing rumors about the M6 Note being Meizu’s first smartphone to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. As spotted by Slashleak, the listing on Geekbench says that the smartphone will come with a Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2GHz, and paired with 4GB of RAM. The device scores 848 in the single-core test, and 4,215 in multi-core test. Apart from that the listing also confirms that the phone will feature a 5.5-inch full HD LCD display. On the software front, it will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box.
Recently, the Meizu M6 Note was spotted online, which revealed a 13-megapixel rear camera. Reports suggest that there could be a variant boasting dual-camera setup with Sony IMX 258 as its main sensor. The M6 note will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery. The posters also reveal the M6 Note will come with an all metal unibody, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. As of now, other details about design and features remain sketchy.
To put things into perspective, last year’s m5 Note launched with features like a 5.5-inch full HD display, an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. If leaks are something to go by, the Meizu M6 Note will be priced at RMB 1,599, which is approximately Rs 15,190. The company might most likely launch the M6 Note at an event scheduled to take place on August 23.
