Meizu last year launched the MX5 smartphone, which was priced at Rs 19,999. Now the company has launched an affordable variant of the MX5 know as the MX5e. The Meizu MX5e is priced at 1,499 Yuan (Rs 15,300 approx) and 1,699 Yuan (Rs 17,300 approx) for the 16 and 32GB variants respectively. The smartphone is currently available in Meizu online store in China. There is no word on availability of the smartphone in markets outside China. The handset as compared to the Meizu MX5 is said to be slightly cheaper with slightly subdued specifications. The smartphone comes in gold and white/silver colors.
Meizu MX5e specifications and features: The Meizu MX5e also features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood it runs 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB and 32GB of inbuilt storage.
On the camera front the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone features a 3,150mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro-USB.
Meizu is all set to launch its latest flagship smartphone the Meizu m3 note tomorrow. The Meizu m3 Note is said to feature a full HD (1920 1080) display. Running under the hood will be a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset which will be paired with 3GB RAM and Mali-T860 GPU. The m3 Note will be available in two variant options – 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM along with 32GB storage.
