Just two days back we came across alleged leaked images of the Meizu Pro 7 hinting at a possible E-ink display. The images showed the smartphone featuring an E-ink display on the rear, along with the primary display as well on the front. Today, another image posted on Weibo shows the Meizu Pro 7 featuring the same E-ink display at the back. If the leaks turn out to be true, then the Meizu Pro 7 would be going for a drastic design change when compared to its predecessor, the Meizu Pro 6. The leaked image shows the Meizu Pro 7 s back panel where the dual rear cameras can be seen and the E-ink display just below them. On the E-ink display, the date and time, weather update, call and camera shortcuts are seen. Below on the extreme right side, the Meizu branding can be seen as well. Compared to the earlier leaked image, the design language is exactly the same. The only difference is the color where the previous one was in gold, the present one is in black. Other than that, there s a visible antenna band running on top similar to the iPhone 7 series.
Secondary displays are popular on LG smartphones, and there are Always On displays as well, which has been used by Samsung and Motorola. The Meizu Pro 7 has been rumored quite a few times, and the leaks have stressed on the E-ink display. The smartphone is expected to launch next month, and we will then get to see if Meizu does introduce this new change. In terms of specifications, the Meizu Pro 7 is expected to feature a 5.62-inch Super AMOLED display with 2160 1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone could be powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 835 SoC or a MediaTek Helio X30 SoC. Rumors suggest that the Meizu Pro 7 will launch in three RAM variants of 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB. The specifics of the Meizu Pro 7 s dual-camera setup are still unknown. Up front, the smartphone is expected to house an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone will possibly come with the company s mCharge 4.0, which is said to fully charge the smartphone in just 40 minutes.
