Meizu is holding an event on September 5 in China where it is expected to launch the Meizu Max smartphone. For the same, the company has started sending out invites. Meizu has done something very unusual with its invites this time. With every invite, it is sending along one Nokia E71 handset, hitting the nostalgia chord just at the right spots. But there has to be more that Meizu is hinting at with the Nokia handset than just evoking nostalgia. Considering the Nokia E71 was primarily meant for people who used a lot of business applications and functions, the smartphone that Meizu is launching on September 5 may come with features on the same line. According to reports, Meizu is getting ready for more than one launch this month. If a Gizmochina report is to be believed, Meizu will be holding an event on September 5 to launch the Meizu Max. It is also gearing up for another event that is expected to take place on September 13 and will launch the much-awaited Meizu Pro 7 smartphone. Though there are rumors about another launch on September 3 as well. That said, ahead of the official launch, we have already come across a few details of the smartphone. The Meizu Max has gained wide attention with rumors that it will be coming with a large 6-inch display. The smartphone is likely to join the large screen trend re-started by Xiaomi with the Mi Max. But besides the large screen size, nothing about specs and other features have been revealed as yet.
At the second event, which is most likely to take place on September 13, Meizu is going to launch of the successor of Meizu Pro 6, which would either be called Meizu Pro 7 or Pro 6 Pro. A recent AnTuTu benchmark listing revealed a few specifications of a certain Meizu flagship. According to the listing, the device will come with a QHD display, 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone is powered by Samsung s Exynos 8890 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory. The smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. Right now there’s no word on whether any of these devices will make it to the Indian market in the near future. Also read: Meizu to reportedly launch a new smartphone on September 3
