Earlier this month we had shown you a couple of leaked images of the Micromax A115 Canvas 3D which showed that the phone was ready and could be launched soon. The folks at NDTVGadgets have now confirmed through a source that the Indian mobile vendor will be launching the A115 Canvas 3D in the first week of May. In addition to the previously reported specifications, the report has also confirmed certain specifications from the source. The A115 Canvas 3D, according to the source, will feature Dual-SIM functionality, a 1GHz dual-core processor and run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The phone will also be priced in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 range.
To recap on the rest of the rumored specs then, the A115 Canvas 3D is said to sport a 5-inch WVGA (800×400 pixels) display and includes features like an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel camera in the front. Besides allowing a user to watch 3D videos, the A115 Canvas 3D will use a 3D rendering software to render photographs with 3D effects.
