A few days after launching Bling 3 A86, Micromax has now launched a new budget Android smartphone named as the Micromax A34. In terms of features, the Micromax A34 is a dual-SIM phone which comes with a 3.95-inch HVGA display offering 320×480 pixels resolution. Weighing in at 85 grams, the phone is powered by a 1GHz processor with 256B RAM and 512MB of ROM. One can also expand the storage space till up to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is the norm in sub-Rs 5,000 smartphones.
Talking about the camera, it sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash light, but lacks a front camera. Other features include a 1,350mAh battery that as per the company s claims delivers up to 4 hours of talktime and 120 hours of standby time. On connectivity front, the phone offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, and Micro-USB support, however it lacks 3G support.
In this price bracket, the phone will compete against the likes of iBall Andi 3.5r which comes with similar features but offers a better camera and is priced for Rs 4,750.
