Micromax announced a 100 days replacement warranty program, applicable to its latest feature phones. However, the replacement program will be extended to its smartphones as well in time to come. The scheme applicable on a total of 10 Micromax feature phone models which includes X1i, x706, x424, x740, x730, x904, x570, x512, x412, and x726. As part of the 100 days replacement warranty program, Micromax promises to replace faulty feature phones with the same or equivalent model in the first 100 days from the date of activation of the device. This includes the 1 year of total warranty period as well. Alongside, the one year warranty on products, Micromax has introduced other customer service programs which include a one-year screen replacement for Micromax Canvas2 and also the Damage Protection Plan for Micromax Dual 5. It is worth mentioning that replacement program is different than the warranty offered by manufacturers. While in warranty, if there occurs some problem with the device, then faulty hardware part will be replaced. However, replacement program warrants that a faulty device will be replaced with a brand new model itself. In this case, a Micromax branded feature phone is eligible for replacement program if it is under warranty or the phone software does not fix the issue.Also, phones requiring a hardware repair will be eligible for replacement as well.
