Micromax has launched its new smartphone named as the Bolt A61 for Rs 4,999, a few days after it was spotted listed on the company s official website. The smartphone comes in the company s Bolt series of low-budget, Android smartphones which are placed below the Canvas series and cost less than Rs 6,000. In terms of the specifications, the Bolt A61 comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480 800 pixels) TFT display. Under the hood sits a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7710 processor with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage. The phone has a microSD card slot but seems to be compatible with up to 16GB cards only. Other features in the phone include a 2-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, connectivity through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G HSPA, and a 1,500mAh battery to run it for 3.5 hours on talk time and up to 160 hours on standby mode.
On the software front, it runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes pre-loaded with apps like Kingsoft Office, Hike, Spuul, Opera and Mi Live among others.
