Micromax s first 3D phone has been in the news in the past few weeks with its images and details leaked online ahead of an official launch. The Indian mobile vendor has now officially launched the Canvas 3D A115 in India for Rs 9,999. The phone s USP is that it supports stereoscopic 3D technology wherein a user doesn t have to wear glasses to watch 3D content. In addition to the 3D technology, the Dual-SIM Canvas 3D A115 sports a 5-inch display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. Other features included on the phone are a 5-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera, expandable memory to up to 32GB and a 2,000mAH battery. On the software side of things, the Canvas 3D A115 runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and comes pre-loaded with 3D games and ‘Micromax 3D Space’ which is used to access 3D videos. The phone s camera is also bundled with software that lets users convert regular pictures into the 3D images.
Micromax says that the Canvas 3D A115 will be available at retail stores in the coming days.
