Micromax today announced its partnership with chip maker MediaTek. As a part of this partnership the Indian smartphone vendor will launch a range of smartphones powered by MediaTek’s chipsets. Today, the company has unveiled the Canvas Fire 4G, an affordable smartphone powered by a MediaTek MT6735M processor. Micromax has also revealed that it will soon launch a flagship smartphone powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 SoC. Micromax Canvas Fire 4G specifications and features: The smartphone sports a 4.5-inch display, and is powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT6735M quad-core 64-bit processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone also features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel selfie camera, and dual-firing speakers. The smartphone comes with 4G LTE support, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
