As far as specifications are concerned, the smartphone flaunts a 5-inch AMOLED HD (1280×720 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone also features 8GB internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card, an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,000mAh battery with a power saving mode that the company claims will boost the battery’s backup up to a month. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Micromax has also promised that the smartphone will soon be updated to 5.0 Lollipop as well. The smartphone also comes preloaded with apps like M!live, Swiftkey, Amazon, Hike, Dr. Safety, Opera, MAd, Truecaller, Saavn, Clean Master, and Trending apps among others.
At this price point, the smartphone will face some strong competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and the Yu Yureka that are not only cheaper but also offer better specifications. As for smartphones with big batteries, it will be up against the Gionee Marathon M3 that offers a bigger 5,000mAh battery.
