The heavy discount on the smartphones is offered as a part of exchange offer. Users can switch their old smartphones and get Rs 9,000 off on the above mentioned smartphones. The company has put forward basic rules that make a user eligible to participate for the offer. The exchange offer is only valid on the smartphone purchased at a value of Rs 20,000 and above or Micromax Canvas devices purchased at a value of Rs 15,000 and above, on or post January 1, 2014. Also any other device, purchased between the value Rs 4,000-Rs 19,999 on or post January 1, 2014, will be offered Canvas Sliver 5 or Canvas Knight 2 at Rs 11,999. Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 specification and features: The smartphone flaunts a 4.8-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit chipset paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB internal storage.
On the camera front, there in an 8-megapixel snapper at the back with Sony IMX219 sensor with a 5-megapixel snapper up front. The smartphone also features a 2,000mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for up to eight hours of talktime. Connectivity options include LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and on the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box.
Micromax Canvas Knight 2 specifications and features: The smartphone features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core chipset with 64-bit capabilities and paired with 2GB of RAM.
On the camera front it has a 13-megapixel snapper at the back with Sony’s IMX214 CMOS sensor and LARGAN 5P lens. Up front for selfie lovers, there’s a 5-megapixel. The smartphone also features expandable memory up to 32GB using a microSD card and a 2,260mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for up to seven hours of talktime and up to 335 hours on standby mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots with the second slot housing a nano SIM card and also turns into a microSD card slot. Other options include 4G support on both SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop.
