Micromax has today launched an entry-level smartphone, called the Canvas Spark 3. This 3G smartphone is essentially the successor to the Canvas Spark 2, and was recently spotted online. It is priced at Rs 4,999 and it will be exclusively available on Snapdeal. Registrations for the first sale on April 7, start from April 1 onwards. Micromax Canvas Spark 3 specifications, features: The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and is powered by a 1.3GHz SC7731 quad-core processor paired with 1GB LPDDR3 RAM. It also offers 8GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
The Canvas Spark 3 also features an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a 2,500mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for up to 22 hours of talktime and up to 280 hours on standby mode.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Micromax has also bundled a bunch of apps like Quikr, Hike, OLX, Skype, Scandid, Snapdeal, Opera mini, Clean Master, and CM Security among others.
At this price point, the Canvas Spark 3 will face competition from the likes of Phicomm Energy 653, Lava Iris Fuel F2, and the Lenovo A1000 among others.
