Micromax has launched a new smartphone under its Canvas series, called the Micromax Canvas XP 4G. The smartphone is priced at Rs 7,499 and will be exclusively available on Snapdeal starting tomorrow. On the photography front the smartphone features an 8-megapixel with auto focus and a 2-megapixel front camera with front flash. The Canvas XP 4G is backed by a 2,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G which the company claims is good enough to give up to 150Mbps download speed and 50 Mbps upload speed. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box on top of Indus OS. One of the features of the Indus OS is that it supports 12 Indian languages, out of which the Canvas XP 4G supports 10 Indian languages.
Looking at the specifications and the price range, the smartphone is set to face tough competition from the likes of Intex Cloud Star 4G and InFocus Bingo 50. It will also compete against the Coolpad Note 3 Lite, which comes with better camera and features like fingerprint scanner for a price of Rs 6,999.
