As far as specifications are concerned, the Canvas Knight 2 flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core chipset with 64-bit capabilities and paired with 2GB of RAM. In the photography department, there is a 13-megapixel snapper at the back with Sony’s IMX214 CMOS sensor and LARGAN 5P lens. The smartphone also features expandable memory up to 32GB using a microSD card, Cirus Logic Wolfson Stereo WM8998 speakers and a 2,260mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for up to seven hours of talktime and up to 335 hours on standby mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots with the second slot housing a nano SIM card and also turns into a microSD card slot. Other options include 4G support on both SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop. The company has also preloaded apps like Cleanmaster, Apps Center, Snapdeal, Swiftkey, Chaatz, Newshunt, Quickr and Hotstar.
The Canvas Knight 2 goes on sale next week on June 10 with a price tag of Rs 16,299. At this range, it will be up against other LTE capable smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi 4i and the Asus Zenfone 2 among others.
Micromax is also offering buyers a free Airtel 4G SIM card, along with Airtel 4G Double Data offer, which doubles the 4G data amount for any consumer activating the 4G SIM.
