Micromax today announced a milestone having surpassed 500,000 sales for the recently launched Canvas Spark. Alongside the milestone, the Indian smartphone vendor has also announced open sale for the affordable smartphone on Snapdeal on July 27 and 28. Unlike its flash sale model, wherein users had to register for a sale, there are no such requirements for open sales. Micromax had launched the Canvas Spark back in April with a price tag of Rs 4,999. As far as specifications are concerned, it sports a 4.7-inch qHD (960 540 pixels) display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6582 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone also features 8GB internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel selfie camera, and a 2,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include, dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
