Micromax has launched a new Vdeo series of entry-level Android smartphones featuring 4G VoLTE support. First smartphones under the new series are Vdeo 1 and Vdeo 2. The two smartphones are priced at Rs 4,440 and Rs 4,990 respectively. The Vdeo smartphones come bundled with Reliance Jio SIM, which gives users free data and voice calling for the next three months. It may be recalled Reliance Jio recently introduced a Happy New Offer, extending freebies till March 31, 2017. Under Jio’s new scheme, users get free voice and video calling, unlimited SMS, and unlimited 4G data (1GB per day). Another highlight of the Micromax Vdeo phones is that they ship with Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box, and preloaded with Google Allo and Duo messaging applications. Micromax Vdeo 1 specifications
The Micromax Vdeo 1 comes with a 4-inch WVGA display. Under the hood by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM. There is also 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot to further expand the memory up to 128GB. On the photography front, it has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel selfie camera. Armed with 1,600mAh battery, the smartphone comes with connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and VoLTE. The smartphone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

The smartphone comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM. There is also 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD.
The smartphone comes with 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and VoLTE. Armed with 1,800mAh battery, the smartphone also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
Looking at the price point and specifications on offer, the Vdeo smartphones will take on the likes of Alcatel Pixi 4 and Reliance Digital LYF Wind 7i, both are priced at Rs 4,999 and come with 4G VoLTE support.
The Alcatel Pixi 4 features a 5-inch FWVGA TFT display. Under the hood runs a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1GHz. The smartphone comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB onboard storage which is further expandable up to 32GB. The Alcatel Pixi 4 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Furthermore, it is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.
The LYF Wind 7i sports a 5-inch IPS display with HD (1280×720 pixels) resolution and is powered by a Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked. It also comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and auto-focus and a 5-megapixel camera. The smartphone also comes with a 2,250mAh battery. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
