Launched only a week ago, Micromax sub-brand YU is putting its new smartphone YU Ace on sale today. The budget smartphone is priced at Rs 5,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart at 12:00PM today. While only the base variant of the smartphone is available today, customers still have the option to choose between three fancy colors of Charcoal Grey, Elektric Blue, and Rose Gold.
There are some exciting deals available on Flipkart as well. Bajaj Finserv is offering no Cost EMI for 3 months. However, there are standard EMI option available for 24 months as well from a number of banks. Additionally, Axis bank Buzz credit card holders can avail a 5 percent discount on the smartphone.
YU Ace specifications and features
Staying with the current trends, YU Ace features a 5.45-inch HD+ screen which features a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood it packs in a MediaTek MTK6739 quad-core SoC tagged alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. There is also a higher-end variant, which comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, but Yu hasn’t revealed the pricing or a specific launch date for it.

In the camera department, the YU Ace flaunts a 13-megapixel sensor at the back, and a 5-megapixel sensor at the front. Both cameras come equipped with LED flash for taking selfies at night and in low light conditions. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is powered by a big 4,000mAh removable battery, and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-box. YU has also promised to roll out the Android 9 Pie update in November this year.
