If recent reports are anything to go by then Microsoft is most likely planning on unveiling its virtual personal assistant Cortana in April this year. As reported earlier, Cortana is deeply integrated with Bing and in the leaked video the personal assistant does exactly what we expect from a service like this. To fire up Cortana, one has to press and hold the Windows button on the device and the personal assistant comes up on the screen asking how it can help you. The user in the leaked video asks Cortana when the next train to a particular station is and it answers via Nokia s HERE Maps.
Though it will first arrive on the Windows Phone, previous reports claim that Cortana might arrive on iPhones with the Bing app and Xbox One, followed by Windows next year.
